As a highly focused individual, Jill thrives on challenge. Being an all round achiever Jill has numerous accomplishments in the business, academic, and sporting arenas. Her passion for life, her natural drive and determination combined with a genuine appreciation and respect for others has enabled her to start up and develop a group of companies that has gained an enviable reputation for reliability, professionalism combined with a heart for people in business.

Following the completing of a B.A. Soc Sc (Hons) in England Jill immigrated to South Africa. After entering the workforce in 1981 she became a young top achiever within the corporate world. At the age of 22 she was appointed as a Branch Manager of a Computer Bureau, 4 years later gaining her first Directorship appointment. In 1987 Jill was appointed to the position of Managing Director of a company within a group that was listed on the JSE in 1987.

In 1988 Jill established The People Business. This organisation now comprises of a group of business units each of which is an industry leader within the all-encompassing field of "people in business". For the last seven years Jill has been utilising her practical and theoretical business and interpersonal expertise as a Master Executive Leadership Coach. Due to her proven abilities at executive board level she services many of the major players within the local South African corporate industry and has also undertaken international assignments. Due to her previous and current business experience, Jill has a specialist knowledge of the IT industry.

Having completed over 180 Executive Leadership Coaching assignments, plus a variety of leadership development roll-outs and group coaching interventions, the demand is usually by word of mouth as people realise the impact that coaching has on the individual executives and ultimately the bottom line of the organisation in which they operate. Jill's focus in the area of Executive Leadership Coaching is with senior individuals who operate at Director and Executive Management levels who are looking for personalised accelerated development through working with, and being challenged by a person with proven solid business expertise combined with a thorough understanding of behavioural models, organisational dynamics, current leadership thinking and a wide appreciation of the current South African business economy.

As a result of the success in the executive coaching field The People Business - Executive Consulting established a Coaching Academy that focuses on the development of Executive Leadership Coaches who wish to work in a private or in-house capacity. The outcomes based developmental intervention concentrates on enabling individuals though solidly grounding both the business and behavioural frameworks in which the practice of coaching currently exists. In order to ensure the highest standards, this is combined with a practical roll out of skills through a personally supervised 6-month internship programme.

Jill is an active member of Comensa, a South African nationwide coaching body that is promoting the professionalism of the coaching and mentoring disciplines through defining ethics, standards and completing research within these fields.

Being completely focused on people development and having pursued complementary studies in the fields of leadership and business skills training, including the coaching and mentoring programmes through Wits Business School and UNISA, Jill is regularly requested to address a variety of audiences on industry related and general management issues. Jill is also on the faculty of GIMT (the Graduate Institute of Management and Technology) where she addresses issues of leadership, communication and the people factor. More recently she appeared in South African leadership panel for the "2004 Living Leadership" satellite broadcast that has been billed as being the largest leadership event of 2004. An estimated 80 000 people attended this global event in 96 cities in more than 24 countries. Jill was also interviewed on the SABC3 television series Business Focus in July on leadership within the IT Industry.

Jill was one of the top 6 finalists for the 2002 IT Personality of the Year award and was inducted into the WHO's WHO Historical Society where her information first appeared in the 2002/2003 edition of the International WHO's WHO of Professionals. Jill was also nominated for the SA Women of The Year Award in 2003 in the media and communications category.
